While everyone was at home, a lot of food trucks took the opportunity to show off one of the many AMAZING benefits of food trucks…. meals on wheels! Like superheroes, food trucks pulled into neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and hospitals serving delicious gourmet meals, increasing the passion for the love of food trucks. Now, since the world has begun opening up again, here are 5 tips to keep your momentum with social media marketing.

Set Specific Goals

Figure out what your main goal is. Are you looking to drive sales? Are you looking to increase brand awareness? Are you looking to provide customer service or gain followers? Whatever it is, choose one, and get specific. Ask yourself what results you would like to see, and break it down. Creating specific goals for your social media helps narrow down the type of content that needs to be produced, and makes the task of social media management more digestible.

Get to Know Your Audience

Use your insights and analytics. Using your insights and analytics will give you a better idea of your following. You want to know if they are predominantly male or female, age range, location, activity times, and etc. This will help with how and when you deliver your messages,, and it will help you to curate content that's relevant to them. Also, pay attention to the posts that are receiving the most activity, so you can continue to keep delivering the goods. Use popular locations that show up in your analytics to plan your next pop up event.

Build Relationships

Once you have gotten to know your audience, start building relationships with your followers. Be sure you are commenting back with at least three or more words and not emojis. When you reply with more than three words it pushes the post in the algorithm because it recognizes words more than emojis. Another way to build relationships with your customers is through customer loyalty programs. Create punch cards to keep track of those customers who are loyal to your truck, and incentivize them with a gift card, thank you card, and or discount. Customer advocacy plays a very important role in attracting new customers, so be sure to nurture those seeds and watch them grow.

Collaboration

Collaboration plays a huge role in gaining trust from your audience. Large companies spend millions of dollars on influencer collaborations… why? Because it works, influencers give you access to a wider audience. The people who follow them already trust their advice, so if they vouch for your truck then all of their followers are vouching for you too. You want to make sure to choose influencers that align with your brand and mission. Edesia aims to empower food trucks through technology that makes it easier to manage and market your truck. . Create Strong Call-To-Actions (CTAs)

A call-to-action (CTA) is one of the most important things to keep in mind when creating your social media posts. Your CTAs tell your audience how to interact with you. That can be anywhere from asking your audience to leave a comment, click a link, or simply double tap a post. The reason these are so important is because not only does it teach your audience how to interact with you, but the interactions help boost your post. Call-to-Actions can help you generate leads, sales and even build your customer base. Get specific with your CTA’s and align them with your goals to drive better results.
