Q: What is Edesia catering?

A: Edesia catering is service that allows hosts to book food trucks and mobile food vendors to cater their events. Our goal is to simplify the process for both vendors and hosts. With this platform, we make it easy to get catering done while saving time and money. 

Q: DO ALL EDESIA VENDORS HAVE HEALTH PERMITS AND INSURANCE?

A: Edesia requires all the foods trucks we work with for events and catering to have a health permit and insurance. We keep vendor insurance certificates on file and will be able to provide you with a copy if needed. Edesia does not provide any additional permits. Please check with the appropriate government agencies to ensure you have all the necessary permits.

Q: I AM A FOOD TRUCK OWNER, HOW DO I GET ON THE PLATFORM?

A: Food truck owners can join our platform by signing up on the network page or by clicking HERE.

Q: HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

A: After submitting a booking request depending on the type of service you are receiving you can expect to receive an invoice or go through our catering process.

Q: I HAVE A FOOD TRUCK COMING TO MY EVENT. WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?

A: You must provide a power outlet for the truck. A legal parking space will also be needed, so please have your event where some are present. Extra trash cans are strongly advised, and if you would like a place for your guests to sit and eat, you will need to provide tables and chairs. If you would like your tables bused, this will require additional staffing provided either by you, or the food truck at an additional cost.

Q: HOW MUCH NOTICE IS NEEDED TO BOOK A VENDOR?

A: The recommended notice is a month to two weeks to ensure all parties are being accommodated accordingly.

Q: WHY SHOULD I WORK WITH EDESIA VS. BOOKING A FOOD TRUCK MYSELF?

A: We have a large variety of vendors and menu options to satisfy any dietary needs. We secure all the necessary paperwork, including contracts, certificates of insurance, and health and business permits. This saves you valuable time and money by letting us do the hard work.

Q: WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY EVENT?

A: If you need to reschedule your food truck catering, we will make our best effort to work with the confirmed vendors to reschedule your event date or time. If we are not able to accommodate your request, you will be subject to the cancellation policy as outlined in the catering agreement.

Q: WHAT IF I WANT MORE THAN ONE FOOD TRUCK AT MY EVENT?

A: Depending on the number of guests, time, and menu, the optimal number of trucks for an event can vary. We suggest speaking with one of our representatives to determine what is best for you.

Q: HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TRUCKS ARE AVAILABLE?

A: Some of our vendors will post a calendar that displays their availability. But always be sure to fill out a booking request form in order ensure food truck availability.

Q: HOW LONG AM I ABLE TO HAVE THE VENDORS BOOKED FOR?

A: Our vendors may remain present at a single event for no shorter than one hour but no longer than six hours at any given time. For any further concerns about extensions or shortage of time please feel free to contact your scheduled vendor(s).

Q: CAN A FOOD TRUCK DO BUFFET, STATIONS, OR FAMILY STYLE?

A: Besides the order at the window option, some food trucks are able to do passed appetizers, buffet, stations, or even family-style dinner services. Please let us know if you would like to explore alternative service styles.

Q:WHAT DO I DO IF A GUEST HAS A FOOD ALLERGY?

A: All food allergies must be reported to scheduled vendor in advance before the event. EDESIA is not liable for any food allergen incidents!
